 January 15, 2007 - Are you tired of sending an email to cklein@silentsentinel.ca every time you take a vehicle back in on trade?

When you take a vehicle back in on trade that has already been in the system, you no longer have to send us an email, just follow the following steps.

1. Search for the vehicle under lot coverage or retail sale
2. When the vehicle is found, click on the car icon (this is the icon in the field left of the VIN)
3. When you click on the car icon you will receive a warning message that says “Are you sure you want to repurchase this vehicle?” Click OK
4. After clicking OK, you will be taken to the lot coverage page and the vehicle information will be displayed. If you need to change the stock number of this vehicle, this is the time to do that. After making any changes to the vehicle information that you need to make, hit save in the middle of the page.
5. After hitting save you will get a second warning, just click OK. After clicking OK the vehicle is put back into lot protection with a start date of the one year lot coverage of that day.
6. To re-sell the vehicle just pull as you would normally and proceed as usual.

December 1, 2004 - Thanks to all the dealers that have helped make our on-line registration system better by their suggestions and comments. We have implemented a couple of new features to improve the system.

If you notice on the page to add new lot coverages we have added two new check boxes.
The first is a dealer trade box. If you trade a vehicle to another dealer it is no longer necessary to email us and let us know, just search for the vehicle under lot coverage, check the Dealer Traded box, and hit the save key and the vehicle will no longer show up under your lot coverages.
Likewise, if a customer declines the Silent Sentinel coverage on the vehicle, search under lot coverage, check the Vehicle Sold, Customer Declined Etch box, save and it will no longer show up under your lot coverages.
